Non-Surgical Nose Reshaping

Non-Surgical Nose Reshaping

What is Non-Surgical Nose Reshaping?

Non-surgical nose reshaping, also known as non-surgical rhinoplasty, is a cosmetic procedure aimed at improving the appearance of the nose without invasive surgery. This technique involves the use of injectable fillers, such as Hyaluronic Acid gel, to modify the shape, size, and symmetry of the nose.

Am I a Good Candidate for Non-Surgical Nose Reshaping?

You might be a good candidate for non-surgical nose reshaping if you:

  • You want to make minor adjustments to your nose’s shape, such as smoothing out a hump, refining the tip, or correcting asymmetry.
  • You prefer a temporary solution that lasts between 6 to 15 months and are open to periodic maintenance treatments.
  • You wish to avoid the risks, downtime, and recovery associated with traditional surgical rhinoplasty.
  • You are in generally good health and have realistic expectations about the outcomes of the procedure.
  • You understand that fillers cannot reduce the size of the nose or narrow the cartilage and are looking for enhancement rather than significant changes.
  • You do not have a history of adverse reactions to dermal fillers and are not at high risk for complications such as blocked skin circulation.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, as these conditions can complicate the procedure and its results.

Benefits:

Minimally Invasive: No surgery required, reducing the risks associated with surgical procedures.

Quick Procedure: The treatment is typically completed within 15-30 minutes.

Immediate Results: Changes are visible immediately after the procedure.

No Downtime: Patients can resume normal activities almost immediately, with minimal recovery time.

Reversible: If Hyaluronic Acid fillers are used, the results can be reversed with an injection of Hyaluronidase.

Temporary Commitment: Results last between 6 to 15 months, offering flexibility and the option to change or discontinue treatment.

Natural-Looking Outcomes: The procedure provides subtle enhancements that maintain a natural appearance.

Versatile Corrections: Can address various concerns such as smoothing humps, refining the tip, and correcting asymmetry.

Low Risk of Complications: Compared to surgical rhinoplasty, the risk of complications is significantly lower.

Cost-Effective: Generally less expensive than surgical alternatives.

More Details:

The nose is one of the most prominent features of the face. It is essential for facial harmony and, for many people, a positive self-image. For men and women frustrated by the appearance of their nose, dramatic improvement can often be accomplished with non surgical nose reshaping (rhinoplasty); however, results are not always predictable. Simple injections can achieve attractive results for many patients.

Fillers such as Hyaluronic Acid injectable gel are used for nose reshaping. They can help rebuild the bridge, refine the results of nose surgery (filling in small defects), correct asymmetry and concavities, add dimension or improve the shape of or raise a flat tip, and smooth or straighten the nasal hump. The results are natural-looking, visible immediately soon after the procedure, and last 6-15 months depending on the product used and the patient. This non-surgical rhinoplasty has many advantages; except for minor temporary bruising and swelling, no downtime is required after the procedure. Fillers cannot narrow cartilage or reduce the size of the nose; they may help some cases of breathing problems*.

Fillers in the nose may block the skin circulation in the injected area, or exceptionally rarely, lead to blindness. We are extremely careful in selecting the right candidates, and reducing this risk.

The procedure is reversible when Hyaluronic acid is used. If a patient is unsatisfied for any reason or in case of any complication a special enzyme known as “Hyaluronidase” can be injected into the treatment area within the first 24 hours and immediately dissolves Hyaluronic acid fillers and restores tissues to their prior state.

The physicians at SEP have experience in injecting filler in the nose on hundreds of patients, and in minimizing the risk of these very delicate injections, particularly in patients with prior rhinoplasty. Other injections using dilute cortisone can be useful to thin down the sides of the fatty nose. The skin is reduced by about 15% per session and is usually repeated every 3 to 6 months.

Botulinum Toxin is also regularly used in the nose to help reduce “bunny lines” at the root of the nose, or elevate the nasal tip when it droops with smiling. Using dilute cortisone can be useful to thin down the bulb and sides of a fatty nose with thick skin.
