Brow Lift/ Forehead Lift

Sagging eyes and brows can cause a tired and sad appearance. This will result in the development of deep skin creases in the forehead as the muscle struggles to open the eye and compensate for a lower brow.

A brow lift, or forehead lift, aims to restore the position of the eyes and brows, creating a youthful contour. The goal of the surgery is to elevate the brow, reduce excess upper eyelid skin, and eliminate forehead wrinkles and frown lines. It is often done with an incision just over the eyebrow, that is hidden within the hairs.

The purpose of Foreheadplasty is to bring the hairline lower in people with a long forehead. Once the hairline is advanced, the excess skin is removed. The incision (pretrichial) is usually hidden in the hairline and it is beveled against the hair follicles. This allows significant advancement of the scalp up to 4 cm and hair growth into the incision. This procedure takes around 2 hours and is usually done under local and sedation anesthesia.

Brow lift or forehead lift is often combined with other procedures such as facelift and upper eyelid surgery.
