Some patients may only complain of sagging skin along their neck and jawline with no evidence of aging in the face or midface. Others may complain of a double chin or turkey neck. Neck lift is ideal in such cases. This procedure can be done under local or sedation anesthesia, it usually takes around 1 hour and involves hidden submental and 2 behind the ear small incisions. During the surgery liposuction and lipocountouring of the neck and jawline is performed and the need for a platsymaplasty (tightening of the neck muscle) is decided on a case by case basis. Chin augmentation can be added to this procedure for better definition of the chin and jawline. Necklift can be done alone or in combination with eyelid surgery, brow surgery, forehead surgery, fat grafting, laser resurfacing or chemical peel, depending on the case.
