What is Facelift?
A facelift, specifically a deep plane facelift as described, is a surgical procedure aimed at rejuvenating the face and neck by addressing signs of aging such as sagging skin, deep wrinkles, and loss of muscle tone, that cannot be restored by non-invasive solutions.
Am I a Good Candidate?
Generally, good candidates for a deep plane facelift:
- Have noticeable signs of aging in the face and neck, such as sagging skin, deep wrinkles, and loss of muscle tone.
- Are in good overall health, both physically and mentally, with no medical conditions that could impair healing or increase surgical risks.
- Have realistic expectations about the outcomes of the procedure and understand its limitations.
- Are non-smokers or willing to quit smoking, as smoking can negatively impact healing and increase the risk of complications.
- Are committed to following pre-operative and post-operative instructions provided by the surgeon to optimize results and minimize risks.
- Are prepared to continue some maintenance treatments.
Benefits:
- Long-lasting results with significant rejuvenation of the face and neck.
- Natural appearance with no evidence of pulling or tension on the incision lines.
- Minimal scarring due to the precise surgical techniques employed.
- Customizable approach to your specific needs and desired outcomes, potentially combining it with other cosmetic procedures.
- Address multiple signs of aging simultaneously for a harmonious and balanced facial appearance.
- Can be done under local anesthesia and can resume normal activities relatively quickly compared to traditional facelift techniques.
More Details:
Our surgeons perform deep plane facelift to achieve long lasting and very natural rejuvenation of the face and neck with no evidence of pulling or tension on the incision lines and without the need of ancillary procedures such as fat grafting or fillers.
The surgery usually takes 3 to 4 hours; it can be done under local or sedation anesthesia but no need for general anesthesia. Deep plane facelift can be done alone or in combination with eyelid surgery, brow surgery, forehead surgery, fat grafting, laser resurfacing or chemical peel, depending on the case.
