What is Cellulite Treatment?
Cellulite is a common condition affecting 90% of women, characterized by a dimpled appearance of the skin, often due to genetics and aging. At the Skin Experts polyclinic, we offer two effective treatments for cellulite: Subcision and Radiofrequency.
Am I a Good Candidate?
- You may be an ideal candidate for radiofrequency treatments if you have mild to moderate cellulite.
- If you have severe cellulite with deeper dimples, you might benefit more from subcision or a combination of subcision and radiofrequency.
- You should be in good overall health without any significant medical conditions that could impair healing.
- Most skin types are suitable for these treatments. Your skin should be healthy without any active infections or severe skin conditions.
- You need to understand that while treatments can significantly improve the appearance of cellulite, they may not completely eliminate it.
- Be prepared to undergo multiple radiofrequency sessions and potential maintenance treatments.
- Maintaining a healthy lifestyle, including regular exercise and a balanced diet, is important to support treatment results.
Benefits:
- Smoother, more even skin texture.
- Reduced visibility of cellulite dimples.
- Subcision can provide long-lasting results after just one session.
- Radiofrequency treatments encourage collagen production for sustained improvement.
- Radiofrequency is a non-invasive, virtually pain-free procedure.
- Subcision is a minimally invasive procedure performed under local anesthesia.
- Minimal downtime required for radiofrequency treatments.
- Treatments can be tailored to individual needs, combining subcision and radiofrequency for optimal results.

More Details:
Cellulite is a very common problem that affects 90% of all women and can be cosmetically distressing. Causes of cellulite include genetics and ageing.
At the Skin Experts polyclinic, we offer the most effective and safe treatments for addressing cellulite: Subcision and radiofrequency. Subcision is a simple surgical technique in which the fibers that retain the skin are cut and the subcutaneous fat is redistributed more evenly under the skin’s surface flattening out the dimpled skin. It is a very safe, in-clinic procedure done under local anesthesia and can provide high satisfaction rate after just one session, with long lasting results and no scarring. Swelling and bruising might follow therefore subscision is best done before the summer.
Radiofrequency energy heats the dermis, the skin’s inner layer. This gentle treatment smoothens and contours the dimpled skin on the body by enhancing drainage and producing new collagen. The treatment is comfortable, quick and virtually pain-free, 3-5 sessions one week apart are recommended, with single maintenance session done thereafter as part pf a total body care plan.
In some cases, combination is best with both subcision and radiofrequency to address specific deeper dimples and firm the buttocks and outer thighs as a whole.
