Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) and Poly-L-Lactic Acid (PLLA) are treatment options that may help improve skin quality and appearance over time. Calcium hydroxyl-apatite is another FDA-approved type of filler. It is resorbable after 1-2 years. It may be used for volume augmentation or when diluted as a biostimulator to stimulate collagen synthesis. It can therefore be used to improve laxity and skin quality in face, neck, chest, hands, arms, abdomen, thighs, and buttocks.

Sculptra is injectable poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). It is used to restore facial volume loss and improve skin laxity, leading to a more youthful appearance. PLLA is a collagen biostimulator, meaning that it stimulates collagen synthesis in the skin.

We recommend both products for thinner faces to give them a natural plump, as well as body areas such as arms, thighs and buttocks, where connective tissue loss causes laxity.
